------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can all use a moment or two to relax, unwind and forget about our daily stresses, and that's why I've created this Fluid Art workshop. So why not take some time-out for yourself and discover the most addicting, relaxing, and fascinatingly beautiful act of Acrylic Pouring or "Fluid Art". This Private workshop is a fun and introductory lesson on everything you need to create and take home multiple one-of-a-kind colorful abstract masterpieces. (Trust me, it's hard to do just one and walk away.) In this workshop you and I will cover prep, materials, various techniques, color use, proper mixing of mediums including finishing and protecting your pieces with a spray Varnish. You will choose your desired color palettes and you will control the movement of the fluid paints to create truly one-of-a-kind Zen like art pieces ready to hang on your home or office wall. These will also make great personal art gifts for your favorite Abstract Art Lover.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

After a brief demonstration of various techniques and materials, you will take over (I will be right there to guide you along) and practice/experiment with popular Fluid Art Techniques on Premium 8" x 8" Flat Canvas Panels. Heck, you may even discover your own signature technique, the possibilities are literally endless. Once you're feeling confident blending and layering the paints and colors and you're comfortable with the process, you will then move to creating more Fluid Art Painting(s) on your choice of 8" x 8" Cradled Wood Panel(s) and/or stretched Canvases with your favorite techniques. After you've completed your Fluid Paintings and are satisfied, we then let them all dry for 48 Hours. After they are dry, I will varnish them in studio and have your finished pieces ready for pick up anytime at your convenience.

All materials included. I will provide practice canvas panels and traditional canvases in various sizes, paints, gloves, cups, aprons, pouring medium, stir sticks, border tape, and blow torch (yes, there's a blow torch!). So get ready for a totally relaxing art vibe with the goal of encouraging a creative and imaginative experience. Although aprons and gloves will be provided, please consider clothing you don't mind getting a little acrylic paint on. Even though it's completely washable, Fluid Art can be a bit messy (and oh so liberating) depending on technique, application and Artist.

A little about paint pouring: If you are not familiar with fluid painting or paint pouring, it is a technique used with acrylic paints combined with a flow/conditioning medium that when mixed with other colors creates unique and really amazing abstract color pop effects. Depending on the colors you pick and the technique you use, you can get a wide variety of gorgeous layered effects within an incredible piece of abstract fluid art that will amaze you, your friends, and family. Plus it is a very relaxing, therapeutic and healing form of art that is great for everyone!
